With reference to my application of the 17th February last for an extension of lease from the 11th June to the 12th September, I have the honor most respectfully to submit that you will be pleased to grant me an additional ten days, so as to allow me to leave Marseilles by the French Mail Steamer on the 4th August, thus arriving in Hongkong on the 10th September next.
